Matzo balls have been called the only truly authentic Jewish dish, since all other Jewish foods have eastern European, Sephardic, or other national roots. Our version tends toward the lightness school of matzo-ball construction.

This ginger-spiked version of haroset makes use of dried cherries, which have recently become widely available. As a family project, this recipe, with its dicing and grating and slicing, gives everyone something to do. Its rich fruit flavors have their roots in Sephardic traditions.

This cake tastes like a double-decker brownie. By substituting matzah cake meal for the flour, it becomes a perfect Passover cake.

this is a traditional "Jewish" condiment which has a special place during Passover. It is wonderful mixed into mustards or by itself.because the strengh of each root varies, use the sugar vinegar and beet juice to taste.ENJOY!!
